Regarding the Robot Cooperation ‘RoboCoop’ Project, which is under development at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, KSU Robot Cooperation ‘RoboCoop’ Project Promotional Activity and Social Humanoid Robots and Education Workshop was held on 16 November 2023, at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. H. Hilmi Hacısalihoğlu lecture hall.
KSU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Doğan and Prof. Dr. Nuri Kahveci, faculty deans, academicians, school administrators, teachers, sector employees, employers and university students from different departments, as well as national and international project stakeholders (approximately 80 participants) attended the program.
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Doğan emphasized the importance of such successful studies in keeping up with today’s technologies. Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tekbıyık congratulated the project team by stating the importance of such projects for KSÜ and the Faculty of Education. Following the opening speeches, the project partners of Robot Cooperation ‘RobooCoop’ in Poland, Spain and Germany presented the progress of the project. The presentation of Pepper Robot and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Betül Tekerek, was watched with interest. In the seminar held by Münevver Calayır on behalf of Gilbo Elecktronics and Robot Sepeti, information was given about the job and research opportunities regarding the use of social humanoid robots.
In the program, participants interacted with Pepper Robot and played a number guess game. They watched Pepper Robot’s harmandalı show. The program ended with the workshop where the basics of social humanoid robot application development were explained and a sample application was made.
