As part of the Youth Gatherings initiative, the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, and Turkey’s first astronaut, Alper Gezeravcı, met with students at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University (KSÜ). Alper Gezeravcı shared his experiences from Turkey’s first manned space mission and answered questions from the young audience. During the program, Astronaut Gezeravcı and protocol members had the opportunity to observe ongoing project studies at the university. As part of the event, the humanoid robot Pepper was showcased under the framework of the “Robot Cooperation (RoboCooP)” Erasmus project, coordinated by the university.
